Innovating Evacuation: Pioneering a System to Optimize Shelters and Prevent Secondary Health Crises

UNDRRR defines a disaster as a severe disruption causing widespread losses due to sudden hazards in vulnerable situations. The Harada Laboratory aims to minimize disaster impacts on mental and physical health by improving shelter environments and support quality. Our Rapid Assessment Sheet, used during the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and a freely available self-check sheet for supporters, adhere to international standards, enhancing disaster response and support capabilities.
