Building a Well-being Support Model for Healthy and Fulfilling Work and Daily Life
In regional societies facing population decline and aging, it is important not only to prevent disease, but also to create environments where people can continue to work and live healthily and happily. The well-being of working-age populations is a social issue related not only to individual health, but also to productivity, prevention of employee turnover, and the sustainability of local industries.
This project examines health and well-being from a comprehensive perspective that includes not only individual lifestyle habits, but also workplace environments, commuting environments, residential environments, interpersonal relationships, and connections with local communities. People are influenced by their environments, while their behaviors and relationships also shape those environments. Focusing on this interaction between individuals and environments, this project aims to develop a support model for healthy and fulfilling work and daily life.
Using health and lifestyle data obtained from communities and workplaces, the project seeks to clarify what kinds of environments and support systems are associated with improved well-being. By applying these findings to community health, occupational health, health management, and community development, the project aims to build preventive healthcare systems based on mutual support rather than relying solely on individual effort.
